Fairfield Glade was created to offer a resort-living environment. Also, in 2011, voted one of the “Fifty Best Planned Master Communities in the US” by Where to Retire Magazine.  Located on 12,000 acres on the Cumberland Plateau. This is the highest point between the Rocky and the Great Smoky Mountains. This Tennessee golf community is in central Tennessee. First developed in the 1970s. Fairfield Glade’s initial projected plan was for 7,000 homes. It now includes approximately 5,000 completed homes in a good mix of detached single-family styles. Also, condominium, and townhome styles.  There are stunning mountain vistas from some neighborhoods in Fairfield Glade. Also, eleven spring-fed lakes for boating and fishing. There are miles of paved walking trails that highlight the scenic beauty of this Tennessee golf community.
Other resort amenities include several indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Also, marinas and beaches located on St. George and Dartmoor Lakes. There are four indoor and eight outdoor tennis courts, and horseback riding stable.  The Health and Wellness Complex at Fairfield Glade includes an indoor track. Also, state-of-the-art exercise equipment. The new Recreation Center offers an arts and crafts center, full-length basketball courts, and game rooms.  The Wellness Complex at Fairfield Glade also offers Mammography and Physical Therapy.
In keeping with nearby Crossville’s title of The Golf Capital of Tennessee, Fairfield Glade offers ninety holes of golf on five championship courses.  Fairfield Glade is 6 miles north of Interstate 40 near Crossville, Tennessee.  Residents of Fairfield Glade tap into the community’s on-site shopping center. Also, several on-site restaurants, and six on-site churches.  The on-site fire and security departments feature trained paramedics and an ambulance on-call 24 hours a day.
